Growth Mentoring

As an alternative to full partnership and consultancy, our experienced Culture Catalysts can also work virtually to guide you and your staff to deliver the change yourselves, with a helping hand.

We can design a mentoring package to suit your needs.  It may include advice on a selection of the following:

1. survey the landscape

Score your business against our 7 Significant Signals© to assess how fertile the ground is within your business. How many of our warning signs of a sluggish company culture do you recognise within your own organisation? This honest assessment of the gap between performance and potential can be a revealing and powerful stimulus for change.

2. assess the environment

Culture change only works if it starts at the top and permeates the whole business. We’ll equip you to build a case for change by demonstrating the financial impact your company culture is having on the business, and how to secure a collective commitment and appetite from the Board, to personally invest in and provide strong roots for the new culture to thrive in.

3. Design the future

Successful culture change grows from within, it isn’t imported or imposed. By working with your key internal and external stakeholders you will be able to craft the kind of high performing, productive culture that your business is capable of – one which will add tangible value to the bottom line. This includes defining the values and behaviours that will underpin the desired culture, identifying likely barriers and priorities, and developing a robust project plan complete with key deliverables – including target bottom line business benefits – for Board sign-off.

4. nurture early birds

Central to the success of the change programme will be your Culture Catalysts – those very special people, grown from within your business, who will fertilise the new culture and help it to blossom across the organisation. You will also need to engage life’s natural saboteurs and dissenters too, to help them adapt to and thrive in the new environment.

5. cultivate your change

Take practical steps to ensure the way your business operates is aligned with the new culture. Everything from your technology, your processes, to how you recruit, reward, engage, grow and retain your people should all be within scope. Sharing success and showcasing the positive impact of change will help to inspire and motivate your Culture Catalysts, engage your people and further evidence the value of your culture to the Board.

6. Harvest results

Delivering (and exceeding) your target bottom line business benefits is not the end of the story. A highly productive culture needs continual nourishment to ensure it flourishes for the long term. It is important to review and measure your progress against the culture change plan, reflect on what more could be done and to apply that learning across the business. But don’t, whatever you do, forget to celebrate your achievements too!

Ongoing mentoring and guidance

ValuingYou will provide you with the confidential expertise and guidance to both challenge and support you as you grow your own culture. Our role is to help you achieve clarity over the challenge ahead and support you in designing unique solutions that are right for your business.  We’re always close by if you would like to explore something with us – whether that’s over a call, an email or a coffee.

How do you grow a highly productive culture?

Growing a Highly Productive Culture takes time and commitment. The focus is on identifying and nurturing the behaviours that will bring your company values to life and on adapting the way you run the business, including technology and processes, to align with your values and behaviours. It requires leaders to live the values, an inclusive approach and personal investment from each and every person in the business.

Culture Catalysts: will help your new culture to blossom. Natural advocates, their behaviours radiate your company values and they will help to sow the seeds of change in the business.

Culture Vultures: left unsupported, these potential saboteurs will destroy the shoots of growth either deliberately, or simply through lack of interest. Helping them to adapt and embrace new possibilities is essential, preventing your fledgling culture from withering on the vine.
